About Me

I have come full circle

My Chiropractic journey started at the age 14, from a hockey injury. Read My Injury to see what my early experience was

After graduating from chiropractic college, I started working as a locum for a chiropractor who was injured. After several months, I went to work with another chiropractor and began my own practice. I started as a general family practitioner treating everyone from babies to the elderly. However, I always had an interest in sports.

After approximately 6 years of general practice, I decided I wanted to pursue a sports focus so I entered a Sports Residency Program through our Canadian college to attain a Fellowship in sports. Over the next 15 years, I was able to work with athletes from many different sports, from endurance to strength and power. I was fortunate to work with Ski Jump Canada for over a decade and traveled much of the world including attending two Olympics and one or two World Cups in there, as well.

Then, I decided it was time for another change. After a wonderful time in the world of athletes, I felt a need to get back to the foundations of Chiropractic healthcare. To what made me become a chiropractor. Beyond the realm of pain and symptoms. To the health benefits and the wonderful whole body effects of the adjustment.

In light of the past few years, from 2020 on, I think there is a need for people to get their health back in their own hands. Get back to the idea of prevention. To take control of your own health. To realize we have the ability to control a lot of what ails us. If there are things out there that can potentially harm us, what can we do to defend ourselves? Of course, prevention means taking responsibility; making choices. In the world of instant gratification, that is hard for many. I, too, was guilty of letting my health slip. However, this decision to return to "health" care means I have to be the example. Is it easy? No, but it is a choice we have to make if we want our golden years to be golden.
